Results 2 ½ Years Later
What happens after you finally get your acne under control - does it come right back? Often it does. But the right method makes long-term results easy.
Let's look at how my client Chase has easily maintained his clear skin for 2 ½ years.
Getting Clear & Staying Clear
Chase is a perfect example of how easy long-term clear skin can be. When he started my virtual acne program, he had “the worst breakout of my life” — inflamed cystic acne all over his entire face and neck.
Like most, he thought his breakout was caused by his diet or stress. However, after he completed the acne interview — my process of determining what the cause of acne is - I found that he'd been using the wrong products.
Yep, that's all it took to cause his huge breakout.
Instead of changing his diet or lifestyle, I took a strategic topical approach with Chase, a method that works for almost everyone.
He didn't give up alcohol.
He didn't stop smoking or cut out dairy.
He didn't give up sugar, ice cream or gluten.
In fact, he didn't change much about his diet at all.
I focused on one thing: targeting acne topically.
During my 12-week acne program, yes, there are a lot of products that have to be used twice a day (it takes about 5 minutes morning and evening). ⬇️
The reason so many products are needed is that in order to get results as fast as possible, you have to use aggressive products. But, to make sure your skin doesn't get dry, irritated and resist treatment, I advise using several moisturizing products to make sure your skin stays healthy and hydrated.
Yes, it means using a couple of extra products, but it's an effective way to get results fast and the reason most of my clients can clear serious acne in only 12 weeks.
In Chase's case, his skin cleared up right on schedule.
Once his acne was gone, he reduced his products way down, eventually using only 3-4: a cleanser, mandelic serum, moisturizer as needed, and a sunscreen.
2.5 years later, his skin has gotten even better, and his daily skincare routine is super simple.
This is how most of my clients maintain their results long term.
The biggest mistake I see people make after clearing up their skin is going back to using their old products and makeup, which is usually the #1 cause of their acne in the first place.
The takeaway?
Once you find a method that works for you — stick with it! I've learned this the hard way myself and have seen it happen over and over with my clients.
Long term clear skin can be easy to maintain when you use the right products.
